Category Management
Categories help organize quizzes by subject area, making it easier for users to find relevant content.
Creating Categories
Add New Category
- Navigate to "Manage Categories" from the admin dashboard
- Click "Add Category"
- Enter category name and description
- Set category slug (URL-friendly name)
- Save the category
Category Features
- Hierarchical Organization: Categories can be nested for better organization
- Custom Slugs: SEO-friendly URLs for each category
- Description Support: Rich descriptions with formatting
- Quiz Count Display: Shows number of quizzes in each category
Managing Existing Categories
Edit Categories
- Update category names and descriptions
- Reorganize category hierarchy
- Merge categories by moving quizzes
Delete Categories
- Categories can only be deleted if they contain no quizzes
- System prevents accidental deletion of categories with content
- Option to move quizzes to different category before deletion
